AEP 2027: Don't Set and Forget - ANOC, Drugs, Doctors & Getting It Done Before Dec. 7

He helps walk through what to do now that Annual Enrollment is here and plans are locking in for 2027.

Mitch picks up where last week's ANOC episode left off. If you have an Annual Notice of Change, grab that letter, write down your medications and doctors, and have someone help you sort through it.

"Set it and forget it" is not the move.

The two questions Mitch & his team hear about 95% of the time:

• Are my drugs covered, and what is the copay?
• Are my doctors covered?
  

Those answers matter because after December 7, you generally cannot make another AEP change.

Mitch also puts access ahead of sticker price. Check the specialists and facilities you use now — and the ones you would want later, such as a cardiac surgeon or cancer center — so you are not stuck with a coverage problem when a health problem shows up.

Strategy: enroll early. You can still get help through December 7, but waiting until the last day can mean ID cards and plan documents arriving January 4 or January 10, after the new plan year has already started.
